Hospital & care facilities
Planning a hospital or care-facility notary appointment.
A little coordination protects the signer’s time and makes it easier for facility staff to help. Availability and facility access must be confirmed before the appointment.
Appointment guidance from California Local Notary Service. For official requirements, consult the California Secretary of State notary handbook.
1. Before you request the appointment
Have the complete document, the signer’s acceptable identification, the signer’s room or meeting location, and the facility’s visitor or check-in requirements ready. Confirm whether the document requires witnesses; the attorney, institution, or document preparer is the right source for that answer.
2. The signer must be able to participate
A notary must be satisfied that the signer is personally present, identifiable, aware of the signing, and willing to sign. A medical or facility situation can affect timing, so it is best to confirm a time when the signer is rested and able to meet.
3. What to text us
Send the city, facility name, document type, signer count, preferred time, and any access instructions. We will confirm availability and quote the appointment before it is booked.

What we protect
Signer readiness comes first at a care visit.
We protect the basics that matter: personal appearance and acceptable ID, a willing and alert signer, a complete document, and privacy around sensitive information.
